The Silver Krugerrand Coin was first released in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its counterpart, the legendary Gold Krugerrand – otherwise known as the world’s first bullion coin. Each Silver Krugerrand Coin is struck from 99.9% pure silver.

Silver Krugerrands bear the same design as the infamous Gold Krugerrand versions. The obverse displays a likeness of Paul Kruger, South Africa’s first Boer president, and the words South Africa written in both Afrikaans and English. On the reverse you’ll find an image of South Africa’s national animal, the Springbok, with the coin’s weight, face value, and year of minting.

These coins are highly popular amongst both investors and collectors. Silver Krugerrands purchased in multiples of 25 come packaged in tubes while multiples of 500 are delivered in monster boxes for easy storage.

Silver Krugerrand unique features:

  • Silver counterpart to the iconic Gold Krugerrand, the world’s first bullion coin
  • Sovereign coin backed by the South African government
  • Multiples of 25 are packaged in acrylic tubes and multiples of 500 come in monster boxes.
