The China Gold Coin – history of the mint
The China Gold Coin is a relatively young mint, as it has been operating for less than four decades. However, it has made itself known to investors as a producer of interesting and valuable investment products. Since its inception, it has been affiliated with the People’s Bank of China.
The China Gold Coin Mint was established by China’s State Council. It is headquartered in Shenzhen, and its main business is the production of commemorative and investment coins. China Gold Coin produces coins made of gold, silver, palladium and platinum. The most famous product of this mint is the China Panda, which receives a new design every year. The image of the panda is not coincidental – it is one of the symbols of China and also a species in danger of extinction, so this is also a way of trying to draw attention to the problem.
The China Gold Coin currently
The China Gold Coin mint has a short history, but has managed to join the ranks of the biggest players in the market. The panda coins are available in weights:
- 1 g,

- 30 g.
The coins are made of the purest gold (99.99%) and the highest grade (999). The guarantee of purity and declared weight is provided by the People’s Bank of China. The value of each coin is expressed in Chinese yuan.
In addition to the panda coins, the China Gold Coin Mint has other precious metal collectibles – commemorative medals produced for the Chinese market are particularly popular.
