History of C.Hafner
C.Hafner was founded in 1850 in Pforzheim by Carl Hafner. The business began by recovering precious metals from the production waste of local jewellers, which is how bullion bars entered its range. Later it added semi-finished precious metal products for further processing.
After the war C.Hafner moved to new premises and changed the way it was run. From 1979 the company invested in research into new technologies, including palladium alloys and electroplating for jewellery. In the 21st century it digitised its production processes and introduced specialised software to keep product quality high.
