Until 2002, the mint was responsible for minting Austrian shillings. After the transition to the EU currency, Austrian Mint produces euro coins in all available denominations. Circulation coins are not the only product of the Austrian Mint. In 1989, Münze Österreich released a gold coin in the Vienna Philharmonic series, which is still among the most popular investment coins today.
The Vienna Philharmonic is available in:

- 1/10 ounce gold,
- 1/4 ounce gold,
- 1/2 ounce gold,
- 1 ounce gold.
In addition, Austrian Mint releases investment coins in denominations of:
- 1 ducat,
- 4 ducats,
- 10 kroner,
- 20 kroner,
- 100 kroner,
- 4 guilders,
- 8 guilders,
- Maria Theresa thaler.
Investors are also offered gold bars weighing from 1 gram to one kilogram, and for collectors the mint has prepared special series of commemorative coins, such as those celebrating the New Year or Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birthday.
